Web 2.0 Seminar by Dr Bob Fox

There was a big crowd at yesterday's Web 2.0 seminar. We had to add extra chairs along the aisles to accommodate the avid learners.
Dr. Bob Fox gave an overview of the prominent Web2.0 tools and showed a number of good practices in teaching and learning. You might find some of the tools familiar (e.g. Wiki, RSS, Twitter), while some others new (e.g. Wordle, Newsy, Streetview in Google map). I hope this seminar has brought you a recollection of the tools covered so far in this training programme, yet opens up new horizons in other Web 2.0 tools out there.

The powerpoint presentation has been uploaded to Slideshare, another Web 2.0 tool, which allows sharing ppt, doc or pdf files for public or private access.

At the occasion, the Librarian presented a commemorative book plates to Dr Fox a token of thanks. The book title is Wired for learning: an educator’s guide to Web 2.0. Perhaps you may be interested to read this book sometime:)
